Dr. Robert D. Atkinson is one of the country’s foremost thinkers on innovation economics. He is a valued adviser to policy makers, and a popular speaker on innovation policy. Atkinson’s most recent book, Big is Beautiful: Debunking the Mythology of Small Business, was released April 2018. He received his Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon and was named a distinguished alumnus in 2014. He received his Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989.

At WGU, Joann Kozyrev is responsible for leading a team of curriculum specialists, instructional designers, assessments experts, and content creators. She directs the strategic alignment of instructional and assessment design best practices to ensure that every WGU student has an engaging learning experience.
Prior to joining WGU, Kozyrev was the Executive Director of Learning Innovation for the University of Texas System. While there, she worked to design high-impact programs and technologically enhanced learning experiences.

Jonathan Munk is the Global General Manager at Degreed, where he oversees the development and launch of new lines of business, including skills and certification. Degreed is an education technology company that is engaged in enabling and recognizing professional and lifelong learning and skills.He was previously the Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Goal Zero and a Marketing Director at Skullcandy Headphones. Before joining Skullcandy, Mr. Munk ran marketing automation at a division of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ). He earned a BA in Communications from Brigham Young University.

Sharon leads the Office of Educational Technology’s higher education innovation initiatives to increasing access, decreasing cost, and improving outcomes for postsecondary learners, including the launch of a Higher Ed Ecosystem Challenge and Federal open licensing policy efforts. Prior to joining OET, Sharon oversaw the design and implementation of the Department of Labor’s $2B Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant program, the largest federal investment in postsecondary innovation.
Amrit Ahluwalia is the Managing Editor of The EvoLLLution, an online newspaper focused on non-traditional higher education and the transforming postsecondary marketplace. The EvoLLLution publishes articles and interviews by some of the industry’s leading thinkers at every level from across the United States and around the world. Ahluwalia earned his BAH from Queen’s University and his MA from McMaster University. He lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Louis Soares leads ACE’s efforts in strategy, research and advancement. Soares joined ACE in June 2013 as vice president for policy research and strategy. With more than 20 years of experience in postsecondary education policy and practice, Soares is responsible for further positioning ACE as a thought leader on emerging trends in higher education. In 2016, the Council expanded Soares’ responsibilities to include organizational strategy with a focus on advancement.
Ryan Davis, President and CEO, Corporation for a Skilled Workforce
Ryan Davis is the President and CEO of the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce. Prior to joining CSW, Ryan served as Dean of Business and Applied Technology at Everett Community College. He has served as Chair of the Washington Workforce Education Council, and Vice-Chair of Workforce Snohomish. Ryan is a Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington.
